9/14/09-9/18/09

Monday we will be working on Fluency:  Excerpt from Student Hand Book. We will have students do TAGS: 5 students. We will have a Minilesson:  Prior Knowledge . We will complete the Read Aloud:  Touching Spirit Bear . DEAR time or SSR will be,  Independent Reading: Student Choice. We will also work on our Journal/Share: Seed Ideas. The students will also be recieving their Reading Logs and their new fluency sheet. The students should be encouraged to read a total of 30 minutes per night and fill the reading log out as the example shows. The students will get no credit for work that is not done correctly.

In Writing we will begin the process of our personal narrative. Our focus this week will be on homophones and creating our narrative. We will be writing daily in our journals and they will have assignments to do at home with them.
